Test Specifications:

The Automatic Sequential Analyzer performs tests in sequence, stopping if a fault is detected and triggering a buzzer alarm.

I) Resistance Test with Temperature Compensation
This test detects resistance variations between phases by applying a constant current to the winding and measuring the potential drop. The resistance value is compensated to either 20°C or 25°C based on user requirements.

Four Resistance Ranges:

  • Range 1: 0.001 – 1.999 Ohms

  • Range 2: 0.01 – 19.99 Ohms

  • Range 3: 0.1 – 199.9 Ohms

  • Range 4: 0 – 1999 Ohms

Time:

  • 0-10 sec

II) I.R (Megohm) Test
This test evaluates the strength of ground wall insulation, which may deteriorate due to dirt, carbon, moisture, or weak wire insulation.

Test Voltage:

  • 500 Volts (DC)

Test Time:

  • 0-10 sec

I.R Limit:

  • 0-200 MΩ

III) H.V Flash Test
The H.V Flash test assesses insulation strength at a higher voltage than the I.R test. A sudden surge in leakage current indicates weak insulation, causing test failure.

H.V Flash test = (2×E + 1000), where E is the operating voltage.

Test Voltage:

  • 0-2.5KV AC (Adjustable)

Test Time:

  • 0-10 sec

Overtrip Leakage Current Limit:

  • 0.1-10 mAmps

IV) Masterless Surge Test
The Automatic Surge test checks each phase of the stator for turn-to-turn, coil-to-coil, and phase-to-phase insulation faults by comparing the waveform with a stored master waveform. If the %EAR variation exceeds the user-set limit, the system triggers an audio/visual alarm and halts the test sequence. This test also detects open circuits, grounds, phase reversals, misconnections, and incorrect turn counts.

Surge test = √2 × (2×E + 1000), where E is the operating voltage.

Max Surge Voltage:

  • 0 – 5000 Volts (Adjustable)

Max Pulse Current:

  • 330 Amps

Max Pulse Energy:

  • 1.0 J

Impulse Rise Time:

  • 0.1-0.2 μS (In accordance with IEEE 522 standard)

Impulse Repetition Rate:

  • 50 Hz (50 Pulses per second)

Vertical Sensitivity:

  • 250V/DIV, 500V/DIV, 1000V/DIV

Sweep/Time Base:

  • 10 μS – 10mS

Input Test Voltage Requirements

Operating Voltage:

  • 230V ± 10%

Power Consumption:

  • 300W

Weight

  • 100 kgs (approx)
