Product Description

• The moisture measurement in oil is similar to that of air humidity.

• The water content in oil can be described as the absolute value in ppm and the relative value in water aw. PTT-001 can directly measure the water activity aw and temperature T in the oil.

• The absolute moisture content (ppm) of the transformer oil can be calculated through these parameters.

• The moisture content in other oils such as non-mineral transformer oil and lubricating oil can be calculated by specific parameters in the calibration oil.

  • ppm (mass of water/mass of oil)

  • aw (The ratio between the actual water content in the oil and the saturated water content of the oil at that temperature)

  • aw = 0 indicates that there is no water in oil; aw = 1 means that oil is fully saturated.
