MTD20KWR

Introduction to the MTD20KWR:
-
The MTD20KWR digital earth tester allows for the measurement of earth resistances, soil specific resistivity, and spurious voltages caused by parasitic voltages present in the soil.
-
This equipment is ideal for fast and easy measurement of grounding resistance in residential and industrial buildings, hospital installations, lightning rods, antennas, substations, and more. The soil resistivity measurement enables soil stratification, optimizing complex grounding systems engineering.
-
With a state-of-the-art system of active and passive filters, it provides high immunity to electrical interferences, ensuring reliable measurements even in areas with spurious voltages, such as urban settings or near primary substations.
-
An internal 1,470 Hz generator injects alternating current into the soil through an auxiliary rod. The apparatus measures the voltage generated over the earth resistance and evaluates the resistance value, with the test current being automatically regulated.
-
The display provides abnormality indications, alerting the operator when the generated current is insufficient for reliable measurements.
-
With a wide measurement range (from 0.01 Ω to 20 kΩ), this device is suitable for reliable testing in all soil types, including those with high resistivity.
-
This earth tester comes equipped with a rechargeable internal battery, and its smart charger is microprocessor-controlled. It can be powered from a 12 V car battery or similar source.
-
Housed in a sturdy, portable cabinet with IP65 protection (closed lid), the device is designed for operation under harsh geographical and environmental conditions. It performs reliably in extreme temperatures, whether in cold or tropical regions, or at high altitudes, making it well-suited for fieldwork.
