Introduction to the TDR.750A:

TDR Low current impulse method: applies to the locating of low resistance faults, short circuit faults, open circuit faults. It can also be used in the measurement of cable length, intermediate joints, T joints, and cable termination joints. This method can also be used to correct the wave velocity.

ICM Impulse current method: applies to high resistance faults, breakdown faults. Uses the current coupler to gather signals from the earth wire, allowing the user to maintain a safe distance from the high voltage source. This method is safe and reliable.
